Reflections - Friendships

‘People come into your life for a season, a reason or a lifetime’ Unknown.

Biggest lesson of 2014Friendship:

The good, the bad and the ugly.
The importance of having true friends was highlighted to me this year, especially during some very tough times.
It’s true that some relationships are only for a season and when they have fulfilled their purpose they end.
I have learnt how to love and nurture valuable friendships and how to take a step back from friendships that are past their ‘best by’ date. People walk in and out of your life and I am certain that everything happens for a reason.
Despite your past imperfections or mistakes, a true friend should love you for who you really are and who you can become.
Some advice I would give to everyone, myself included is;  Sometimes you will grow apart from friends because your interests change and their interests change – it is part of life. Cherish those that are around you and love you just the way you are.

A little more about myself:

I am a daughter, a friend and an engineer. So here’s a short creative bio I put together to tell you a bit more about myself.

First of many!

Lord grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change, courage to change the things I can and wisdom to know the difference’  Reinhold Niebuhr

Hi, everyone! It has taken me over 11 months to  take a leap of faith and start my blog. With some inspiration and support from friends and family here I am. I hope to inspire and be inspired by you all.

My blog posts will be about a variety of topics that are all part of my life:
Life Lessons/ Inspiration: Things I've experienced and learnt from. Inspirational messages. Skills I hope to gain and improve.
Engineering: Being a female graduate engineer - sharing ideas, experiences, tips and advice. Covering all STEM subjects. (Sci, Tech, Engineering & Maths)
Style: This will include my personal style, fashion looks I admire and would love to try. Also... my natural afro hair - regimens, hair care & styles.
Enjoy!
Feel free to view, comment, share & contact me.
